Home Theater
With High Definition becoming the standard and screen sizes growing, home theaters have never looked better. Whether you are a sports fanatic, a movie buff, or just want Oprah to be crystal clear, we can design a theater for you. Small, medium, and extravagant are all possibilities for your new home theater.
Theaters are for everyone! It would be great if everyone had the space to dedicate an entire room to a theater, but many people have limitations. Nevertheless, it is possible to custom design a system to turn any room into a viewing paradise. Or, to create audiophile sound and a vibrant picture, even though there is no equipment in sight. These space concerns are identified and steps are taken to provide optimal functionality. Some methods used to complement an unusual living space are centralizing equipment and to mount in-wall speakers for the surround sound, including the sub-woofer. The design team will focus on your specific needs and goals, as to create a unique and comfortable environment.
Multi-Room Audio/Video
What is a "multi-room" system? The best description is "a centralized audio/video system that distributes audio sources (music/CD/MP3) and video sources(cable/satellite/DVD/Blu-ray) throughout the home". By centralizing the equipment, you improve aesthetics while eliminating wasted space.
There are some definitive advantages to installing this type of system.
- Play different audio/video sources in multiple areas at the same time
- The only visible electronic equipment are the speakers and television
- Listen to music or watch video in any room with the touch of a button
- Expand your listening environment - have you considered playing music by the pool, shower, or hot tub? Or even watching TV from the pool?
- Custom designed for your living environment - we do not take away from the ambience of the room, just add the functionality of a stereo or a television.
With today's new technologies, such as mp3 players and media servers, music and videos can be available when and where you want them. Wouldn't it be nice to entertain guests with music in the kitchen and living room, while the kids or other guests use their mp3 player by the outdoor fireplace?
Our goal is to make your audio/video system work effortlessly. We accomplish this by centrally locating all of the equipment out of sight and providing you with a remote control system that performs tasks with the push of a button. This system has the capacity to control every room in the house. It makes watching television or turning on a CD as simple as pushing one button, no matter where you are located in the home. The easier your system is to operate, the more use and enjoyment you will receive from it.
Home automation
Complete Control or Home Automation involves making a home operate intelligently within pre-programmed parameters. In simple words, your house will do what you want, when you want. It will eliminate the need to walk from room to room to adjust temperature, volume, channel, lighting, and much more. You have the convenience of a color touch-panel, a remote, or a customized keypad located strategically throughout the home for your use. Creating a serene ambience for movie time or a lively atmosphere for a party has never been so easy.
These systems are meant to make control as easy as hitting a light switch with functions that are custom tailored to your daily lifestyle. We strive to simplify all of your daily tasks, such as waking up, watching television, or even watering the lawn.
During the design phase, we try to identify which processes we can streamline. An example of this would be a home owner who doesn't return home at the same time each day, yet wants the house to be the appropriate temperature when they enter. With home automation, the user can change the thermostat from a PDA, office computer, or any internet connection ensuring that the house will be the ideal temperature upon arrival.
So, when it is time to relax and watch a movie, all you have to do is press one button. From there, the blinds close, the lights dim, the television and Blu-ray player turn on, and the temperature adjusts itself to a comfortable 75 degrees. All of this with a single touch!
Networking
Many people assume that networking is primarily used in a business setting and not needed at home.
But, if you have more than one computer, a network can be very valuable.
It allows all computers in the network to "share".
They can share a printer, internet services, files, music, and much more.
There are several creative ideas for a network to improve your lifestyle.
Some examples include accessing your media server (music) from anywhere in the house or remotely over the internet.
Another idea is accessing a printer from any computer in the house or even from a wireless laptop.
These may seem like simple things, but setting up a consistent network will save time and headaches in the long run.
If you are interested in installing voice or data cabling, we wire any size home or business.
Wireless solutions are available, as well. We work with new construction, retrofits, and commercial buildings.
Surveillance/Security Camera Systems
So, you are sitting at your desk upstairs and hear the doorbell ring.
In the past, that meant a trip downstairs to see who is at the door.
Now, it means glancing at a window on your computer and viewing the person at the door.
Now that you know it is a delivery from the postal worker, you can tell them over the intercom to leave it on the
doorstep and your task at hand continues.
Whether it's the family at home or the inventory at work, it is nice to have the ability to check in from time to time.
This peace of mind will allow you to focus your attention on what really matters - dealing with the business at hand.
That could mean taking care of your kids or promoting your business. Either way, you can be sure that you will have your eyes on what matters most.
All cameras can be viewed on a wall-mounted display, your computer monitor, a touch-screen remote,
your television, or any other device with video capabilities.
We can even include motion sensors, magnetic sensors, or a DVR (digital video recorder) to alert you of any movement.
This way you are the first person alerted and can respond as needed.
Outdoor Entertainment
Living in the temperate climate of Northern California, we are privileged to have nice weather for the majority of the year.
What better way to enjoy the weather than to be outside in the yard or next to the pool?
Wouldn't it be amazing if you could listen to music next to the outdoor fireplace at night or even watch television while floating in the pool?
Those are just a few of the possibilities.
We can transform your patio into an entertainment area or create an outdoor living space with all the comforts of being indoors.
High Fidelity Audio
Lavish Theaters provides our customers with the best in high fidelity stereophonic music systems. Two-channel stereophonic audio is optimized for stereo music enjoyment, as opposed to multi-channel audio/video systems which are optimized for movie playback. Simply put, the gear disappears with a two-channel system and you are left to enjoy your music with maximum emotional artistry.
Commercial Solutions
As consumers, we view electronics as "toys", or things to entertain ourselves.
But, realistically, these "toys" are high powered devices that enable the user to integrate processes,
add overall security, and streamline technologies to work seamlessly together.
It is this integration that will save your business time and money, as well as, enhance your customer's perceived value.
All of our residential services are available on a commercial scale -
including: data and phone cabling (networking), inventory control (surveillance), and digital signage (audio/video systems).
Here are a few examples of how we added value to actual commercial clients, by integrating custom technology into their businesses:
Challenge #1: Taking over an existing business can be a real challenge.
One of our clients moved into an older building that lacked network connections and was deemed "off the grid"
when it was being configured for internet service.
Lavish Theater's Solution: Use microwave internet access and establish a link from a nearby hilltop.
Each room was wired with two internet ports and the capability to install a telephone system at a later time.
To expand further, a wireless network was set up to cover the entire property.
Challenge #2: Maintaining and monitoring expensive inventory
Lavish Theater's Solution: Install a security system connected to a DVR (digital video recorder)
so it will monitor anyone who enters the warehouse after hours.
The system was automated by attaching motion sensors on the cameras.
So, anytime there is movement, it will be recorded, even if it is just a false alarm.
The client also has the ability to remotely log-on and view the warehouse at any time from the cameras.
Challenge #3: A local winery wanted to find a way to stand out from the competition.
Lavish Theater's Solution: The original idea was to connect outdoor speakers and locate a cash register/POS in the caves.
However, upon completion of the original project, they decided that they needed to upgrade the indoor area, as well.
So, a 52" plasma TV was installed to display their logo, popular wines, related local businesses, and the history of the winery.
